Overview

Embrace the spirit of community and resilience at the 4th Annual Love Never Ends Trail Run, set for Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the scenic YL Ranch in Atoka, Oklahoma. This event, hosted by The Great Root Movement, offers multi-distance trail races including a half marathon, 5K, 50K, and 50‑mile ultra on a privately owned 1,000‑acre prairie—Reba McEntire’s home region—with tranquil lakes, rolling hills, and ancient hardwood forests.

The half marathon follows a combination of the 5K loop and the 10‑mile loop (16 km), offering runners nearly 460 ft of elevation gain per loop across jeep trail, single-track, lake, and ranch road surfaces. Aid stations are located at three points along the course, ensuring hydration while preserving the natural trail ethos.

This event stands out for its purpose: proceeds support The Great Root Movement’s RIZE Scholarship for bereaved mothers and domestic abuse survivors, as well as memorial scholarships for Texas high school seniors. With its rural setting, meaningful cause, and grassroots feel, this race blends introspection and trail adventure.

Expect warm volunteer support, rustic charm, and low registration caps (500–1,000 participants), fostering a sense of shared purpose. Packet pickup is available onsite Thursday and Friday before the race. Camping (primitive) is limited but available for those traveling in. Live finish-line awards and a food truck add to the community atmosphere.

🌟 Why You’ll Love It

The Love Never Ends Trail Run is more than a footrace—it’s a trail pilgrimage through healing, nature, and shared purpose. With its stunning ranch setting, manageable field size, and meaningful nonprofit mission, it stands apart from other trail races in both heart and design. Ideal for runners seeking solitude adjacent to community, elevation adjacent to intention. Want packing tips for trail camping, pace breakdowns for looped ultras, or local travel ideas around Atoka? I’d be glad to support your adventure.
