Friday, October 16, 2020 – Sunday, October 18, 2020 • Wilsonville, OR
Note: The 2020 race is a virtual event. Registration details are included below.
Set for its 3rd annual running (and first virtual running) as fall is in full swing here in this small city that lies about a half-hour’s drive from downtown Portland (or anywhere you want to run), the Me.She.We Half Marathon is billed as a race to empower women and girls of all ages, sizes and body types, so that everyone feels included.
The race organizers put it this way: “Everyone deserves a positive and supportive running environment. Me.She.We. eliminates any feeling of intimidation or inadequacy that many race environments create.”
“Instead, here is a supportive space, that when you leave you will feel empowered and accomplished.”
Both the half marathon and the 10K will follow out-and-back courses that start and finish in Wilsonville’s DWFritz, which lies just outside of downtown Wilsonville.
The course is designed to be as flat and forgiving as possible, with roughly 400 feet of elevation change over the course of the entire 13.1 miles of the half marathon — enough challenge “without being overly demanding,” organizers say.
Runners will make their way mostly through Wilsonville’s parks and suburbs that surround Memorial Park, and then head back to the start for the race finish.
