Race Times: Gear up for an early start, as all races kick off at 6:00 AM (CT), setting the tone for an exciting day of running.

Packet Pickup / Registration: Ease into race day preparations with Packet Pickup and Registration available 30 minutes before the Race Start time. Visit the start/finish line to get everything set for your race.

Early Start: Early birds, take note – there’s no early start option. The action begins promptly at 6:00 AM (CT).

Time Limit: Embrace the freedom of running with no time limit. The event adopts a “no runner left behind” policy, ensuring a supportive environment until the final finisher crosses the line. Walkers are not just welcome; they are encouraged to participate!

Pets / Strollers: While pets are not allowed for the safety and comfort of participants, single strollers are welcomed. However, be mindful that some courses may not be ideal for stroller use. Enjoy the race day experience with your little one!

Food/Aid Stations: Prepare for an unparalleled race experience with a unique multi-loop course setup. The event boasts one expansive “aid station” with an abundance of food and drink options. From fruit to jelly beans, sandwiches to hot coffee, and everything in between, the variety is sure to satisfy every runner’s craving. The Loony Lunchbox, Mainly Marathons’ very own mobile kitchen, ensures a delightful culinary experience beyond the usual race offerings.

The Loonies: After completing the last race of Summer Camp on Wednesday, July 19, indulge in a post-race celebration featuring complimentary food and drinks, coupled with laughter and camaraderie. Everyone is welcome, whether you ran all of the Summer Camp races, supported a fellow runner, or simply enjoys free food and drinks. If you plan on indulging in drinks, make arrangements for safe transportation.

Course: Immerse yourself in a smooth asphalt running path with intermittent shade, providing a comfortable and scenic terrain for your running journey.

Elevation Gain: Each lap, as estimated by Garmin, brings a modest elevation gain of 33′, offering a well-balanced course experience.

Tentative Laps: Brace yourself for the marathon challenge with a tentative 14 laps, each contributing to the overall accomplishment of your race. 

Clearwater is a serene city situated in central Minnesota, known for its small-town atmosphere and proximity to natural attractions. Located approximately 25 miles northwest of St. Cloud, Clearwater offers residents a tranquil living environment with easy access to outdoor recreational opportunities along the Mississippi River. Moreover, it is situated about 75 miles northwest of the Twin Cities, highlighting its position in the central part of the state.
