Thirteen miles through the Northern California wine country await runners at the Napa Half Marathon, which is sure to become a fall bucket list race for many a runner thanks to its gorgeous views of the vineyards all around and the complimentary bottle of wine included in each race packet pickup.

You’ll enjoy a double loop route with plentiful rolling hills at this race, which starts and finishes at Skyline Wilderness Park, just to the east of downtown Napa.

From there, runners make their way along 4th Avenue and then 3rd Avenue. Between the 3rd and 5th mile marker along 3rd Avenue, runners will have an opportunity to pass by many small vineyards and wineries as they make their way north. Views of the Napa Valley Country Club will be a gorgeous site along the the 4th mile.

Racers will make their way to onto Olive Hill Lane and then make a sharp right onto Sparlin Lane just before the 5th mile marker. The course then takes a slight right onto Hagen Road and runners will pass the 6th mile marker once making a left onto First Avenue. The course travels across the halfway point on First Avenue and nearly all the way to mile marker 8. One runners reach Coombsville Road, they will make a left and begin a large loop back to North Avenue. This section of the course retraces a section of the 3rd and 8th miles. Once racers reach Coombsville Road for the second time, they will follow the course to 4th Avenue which will lead them back to Skyline Park and the finish line.
