With a half marathon, 10K & 5K, there’s a distance for everyone at the annual Noblesville Mini Marathon, which takes place in the Indianapolis suburb that gives the race its name.
The Noblesville Mini Marathon starts at Hare Chevrolet field and provides runners with a tour of the Noblesville area and leads runners through the brick-paved roads of Logan Street before heading into downtown Noblesville.
Here runners pass the buildings that have maintained their historic charm, including the Courthouse Square, before crossing the bridge over White River and continuing on the White River Greenway, a multiuse trail that leads to Forest Park.
After a brief loop near the Fox Prairie Golf Course, the course continues west on Lakeview Drive before turning right onto Hague Road for about 1.5 miles. A left turn onto East 96th Street takes runners to Morse Beach just before the halfway point of the half marathon.
The second half of the course takes runners east on East 96th Street and south on Cicero Road. Another crossing of the White River takes runners north along a different strech of the White River Greenway for just under two miles, right before reaching mile 11 of the course. The last stretch of the course consists of paved roads south back toward downtown Noblesville and the finish line, where a cheering section and post-race food await.
A portion of the race’s proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Noblesville, providing programming for youth who cannot otherwise afford them.
Race Weather & Climate
Located in central Indiana about 30 miles northeast of Indianapolis, Noblesville experiences mild to warm weather in September. With record temperatures as low as 31° (1951) and as high as 102° (1954), cold or hot weather are also possibilities. Noblesville receives moderate precipitation all year long, with 3.32″ of rain on average for the month of September.
On race day (Sep. 22), the average low is 52ºF and the average high is 75ºF.
