The New England Challenge, taking place on May 13, 14, and 15, 2024, in the states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, is a USATF-sanctioned and certified event, offering half marathons and full marathons in each state. Each event begins at 6AM, with bib pickup available from 5:30AM on race day.
On May 13, the Red Island State Marathon at Warwick City Park, Rhode Island will offer a half marathon (4 full laps plus a 2.3-mile out-and-back) and a full marathon (9 full laps plus 1.95 miles out-and-back). Each lap is 2.7 miles. The courses feature rolling hills and wooded areas, with views overlooking the Narragansett Bay. There is an aid station at the start/finish line.
