In memory of the fallen officers, the Peace Officer Memorial Run Half Marathon, 5k, 1 mile, and relay race is an annual fundraising and awareness event hosted by the Peace Officer Memorial Group.

Its primary aim is to, of course, raise awareness and educate the public about officers who die in the line of duty, providing support to families, all the while bringing the community together for a healthy and memorable day of running.

PR Chasers. Unique in that each mile will be in memory of 1 of the 20 fallen officers of Stanislaus County, with a photo placed for all to see at the mile marker, the Peace Officer Memorial Run Half Marathon is a great way to show support while also accomplishing an incredible physical feat.

Flat and fast, the course also happens to be great for those chasing a personal best, all the while highlighting all the hidden gems of Modesto, California.

Starting at 7:00 a.m. sharp, the Half Marathon begins and ends in front of the Gallo Center for the Arts. Making their way through the downtown region of Modesto, runners will proceed through the college campus and its neighboring residential areas. Following, runners will reach Graceada Park, make a brief reappearance in the downtown region passing by the famed Mchenry Mansion, and persist through Dry Creek Park. Once exiting the park, runners ultimately make their way back through downtown before reaching the finish line. Runners must sustain a minimum of an 18-minute/mile pace to remain in the race; this is for traffic and safety purposes. With a total of 5 aid stations throughout, this pace should be sustainable for most runners and walkers barring any surprises.
