Red Coyote is excited to announce big changes for the Red Coyote Half Marathon this fall with a new location, new course, and more great weekend activities! We are ready to celebrate our Pack and the strong roots of OKC running community with 13.1 miles of fun for a great cause. We hope you will join us for this exciting event that pays homage to our history as we look with clear eyes towards the future.

The event will start and finish in Scissortail Park in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City! Runners will cross OKC’s signature Skydance Bridge and visit the new Lower Park areas on their way to the Oklahoma River Trails. The run is the culmination of the Red Coyote Half Marathon training program and is open to runners and walkers of all abilities.

OUR BENEFICIARY PARTNER
Our beneficiary partner organization for the Red Coyote Half Marathon is Course For Change. Course for Change is a mentoring program, which uses long distance running as a vehicle for change for at-risk and juvenile justice involved youth. Youth between the ages of 12-18 years of age train with adult mentors to run a half-marathon after 12 weeks of training.

Saturday, Nov. 9th
– Red Coyote Half Expo & Packet Pick Up: 10am- 6pm * Red Coyote Classen Curve

Sunday, Nov. 10th
– Red Coyote Half Marathon: 7:30am * Scissortail Park
– Half Marathon Post Race Party (details coming soon!)
PACKET PICK UP
Packet pick up will be at the Red Coyote Oklahoma City store located at 5720 N Classen 73118.

Friday, November 8th from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm

Saturday, November 9th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

We will also have pick up available on site at the race starting at 6:00 am but WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT EVRYONE PICK UP IN ADVANCE to avoid lines and delays at the event.

WATER AND AID STATIONS
There will be water-aid stations approximately every who miles. These will be accessible in both directions creating total access of seven hydration opportunities. Trash cans will be available for waste and no cups should be discarded on the trail.

All runners are encouraged to carry any nutrition or additional hydration you may need.

Beautiful Scissortail Park! The Red Coyote Half Marathon will start and finish at Scissortail Park main stage area and cross the Skydance Bridge on the way to the Oklahoma River Trails. The route runs through both the upper and lower parks before turning east on the river trail at 15th & Harvey Parkway. The course turns by running a clockwise loop through Regatta Park visiting the River Cruise Circle and Chesapeake Boathouse before crossing the bridge and heading back to the west. Runners follow the Oklahoma River Trail all the way along the north bank to the West End Turn Loop just past Portland Ave before heading back to the east. The course leaves the river trail just past Walker Avenue and returns to the finish following the same route through the Lower and then Upper Parks. As you cross the Skydance bridge for the final time you’ll enjoy a downhill finish and an amazing view of Scissortail Park, Downtown OKC, and most importantly, the Red Coyote Finish Line! The Red Coyote Half course is flat to gently rolling with only 38 feet of elevation difference with the Skydance Bridge comprising the biggest hill. This route is suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities.
