Using Tate Trail, the half marathon course takes runners from West Ridge to Golden Spike, with the course marked by ribbon every 200 yards. Due to damage done by recent storms, the course is in the process of being updated and revised.
Important Note: Because many parks in California contain poison oak, it’s recommended to stay on the trail. Upon finishing, it’s recommended to thoroughly washdown with Tecnu.
Finally, as a cupless race, runners are encouraged and recommended to come prepared with their own reusable hydration flasks/bags. Fully-stocked aid stations will be posted every 2-6 miles.
Half Marathon Guide is the largest calendar and educational resource in the world for half marathon runners and enthusiasts with over 10,000,000 annual visitors.
