The 7th Annual River Bottom Country Runs for St. Jude will happen on June 1st, 2024, at 7 am. Packets for the race go out at 6 am on the day of the race. Runners can choose from a 5k or half marathon. There are prizes for both finishing the races and the top female and male in each race. Those finishing the 5K will get a River Bottom Country Runs koozie, donuts, bananas, and beer (for racers 21 years or older). Half Marathon finishers will get the same prizes plus a finisher’s medal. Participants in the River Bottom Country Runs for St. Jude will navigate through the scenic farm country of central Illinois, starting with a 0.25 mile hill that levels off. New this year is the water cannon on the half marathon course, courtesy of the Goodfield Fire Department.
