Located in Lake Chicot State Park off Highway 144, The Riverboat Marathon & Half Marathon Series – Day 2 takes place in beautiful Lake Village, Arkansas. This series, put off by Mainly Marathons, is one of several events that are hosted throughout all 50 states. Road Runners, PR Chasers. Taking place on smooth blacktop paved paths with little to no shade throughout, this course takes runners through a 9-lap course within beautiful Lake Chicot State Park. Comprising the largest natural lake in Arkansas, Lake Chito State Park offers naturally beautiful landscapes throughout. If you’re visiting for the race, consider staying at their primitive campgrounds for the full experience.

With little elevation and a total of 9 laps on paved roads, this course is set up for PRs. Taking runners through the State Park, the event can become quite repetitive, which brings with it its own challenges. With a regular start time of 6:30 am and an early start of 5:30 am, this event has no cut-off times, however, it’s encouraged for walkers to take advantage of the early start. Finally, because of its unique looping nature, the course has one large aid station with more food and beverage than you could need!
