The 13th Annual Rock ‘N The Knob Trail Challenge, presented by Allegheny Trailrunners Inc., happens on September 14, 2024. This event is known as Pennsylvania’s Highest Race. There is a 10k and a half marathon.

The 10k course includes Lost Porcupine, Code-Red, Tree-odge, Devils Hairpin, Throat Punch Hill, and Soul Sucker Slopes trails. There are two major climbs with nearly 1500 feet of climbing, and there’s one aid station at the base of the first climb at 3.7 miles. The half marathon has over 3500 feet of climbing, featuring sections like Blister Blaster, Teal is Real up Deep Hollow Notch, I’ll Nettle Do This Again, and I Need a Sherpa. There is also a 50k ultramarathon.

Post-race, runners get food and beer. The swag for finishers includes socks, a technical shirt, bottle-opener/medallion, collapsible cups and car decals.
