Run on 95% Singletrack trails, the 2017 Singletrack Stampede features a 22K and 42K race, located in Las Virgenes Canyon Valley. Runners in the half marathon will enjoy 2,300 feet of elevation gain, while runners in the marathon will see twice that amount at 4,600 feet of elevation gain. The course takes runners through many different eco-systems including up 2 pyramid trails along the course. Participants will experience the same trails that were guided by Chumash Indians in the 18th century as they carve their way through the beauty of Las Virgenes Canyon Valley.

The half marathon and full marathon course both follow the same route, with the marathon making two trips around the 22K loop. The loop is run in a counter-clockwise direction that begins and ends at the Bark Park Trailhead. From their, runners will turn right onto the New Millennium Loop trail and stay on it for 8.4 miles. At the 6.3 mile mark, participants will cross Parkway Calabasas Road, and continue on the other side of the road onto the Water Tank Trail, where a full aid station is located.

After crossing the road, runners will remain on the New Millennium Loop Trail for the next 3.3 miles, which will take them into a neighborhood and pavement. A short run on Gun Club Road for 0.9 miles is the only part of the course not run on trails. At the 10.5 mile mark, runners head back onto the New Millennium Loop Trail until the Bark Park Trail at the 12.8 mile marker. A final right onto the Bark Park Trail, and a downhill section of the race, will take runners back to the start/finish line.
