Overview
Course Description
Half marathoners start on South State Street in front of the Oncenter Convention Center in Syracuse.
From there, runners head north on South State Street, turning right on James Street and looping through several residential neighborhoods before running on Grant Boulevard and through other residential and commercial areas.
The course is an urban course, passing through residential areas, parks, cemeteries, and local businesses on the way to the finish line.
Finishers can celebrate their achievements at the post-race party, featuring live music and a pancake breakfast for all finishers. The top three finishers — male and female — in each age division receive awards from community sponsors, such as gift cards and fitness memberships.
Participation in the Syracuse Half Marathon is limited to the first 5,000 entrants, and it sells out quickly, so register soon.
