Runners start the USATF-certified course next to Madison Jr High School in Rexburg. From there, the race follows a route through the rural areas just outside Rexburg, with several uphill segments in the first few miles of the race.
That changes once runners are approaching the half-way point of the race, where the course begins to rise around the mile 5 marker, climbing more than 300 feet over the next couple of miles.
You’ll make your way across the Teton River twice during the half marathon, first between mile markers 3 and 4, and then again a second time around the mile 8 marker.
Half Marathon Guide is the largest calendar and educational resource in the world for half marathon runners and enthusiasts with over 10,000,000 annual visitors.
