Runners make their way along the trails that wind around the 117-acre lake that sits at the center of southeastern Ohio’s Barkcamp State Park at this series of trail races, which includes a full marathon, half marathon and 10K that usually draw a few hundred runners each year.

Overview
Course Description
In recognition of its growing popularity in just six short years, the race, which is part of the worldwide Xterra Trail Running series, has served in the past as the Ohio championship race for the Road Runners of America’s half marathon & 10K trail championships.
All four races in the event will follow out-and-back courses that start and finish inside the park, in the parking area that overlooks Belmont Lake near the southern end of the park.
From there, runners follow a clockwise loop along the trails that wind around the lake, including a pair of bridge crossings about half-way through the race and a run across the dam in the early going.
