Get ready for a beautiful and fun race featuring beaches, historic sites, marshes, and more in gorgeous Ormond Beach. With three events along a flat coastal course, the Tomoka Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K features an event for all skill levels.

Runners for all three events begin at the Casements, the former winter home of businessman John D. Rockefeller. From there, half marathoners make a loop around the start area before crossing the Granada bridge and continuing to run north along the Halifax River into Tomoka State Park, covering the last portion of the full marathon course. After turning around at mile seven, the route continues along the same route as the first half of the course, and runners can look forward to crossing the Granada bridge again just before crossing the finish line.

All runners will be greeted at the finish line area with food, drink, and microbrewery beer (for runners over 21, of course). Homemade pizzas will also be available.

The Tomoka Half Marathon race benefits many of the local groups and organizations that support it. These include the Seabreeze High School Cross Country Team, Stetson University Cross Country Team, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Ladies Soccer Team, the Civil Air Patrol, the Boy Scouts of America, and Team RWB.

The full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier and takes runners through the Tomoka Loop, a course featuring Florida’s old natural beauty.

Since the half marathon course stays open while the full marathon course is open (7 hours), walkers are welcome for the half marathon.
