Don your pointiest hat and grab your broomstick for the Witch Run Half Marathon, 10K, & 5K, which takes place during this annual Halloween celebration of all things witchy.
WitchFest is held each year in West Jordan’s Gardner Village. Tourists and locals alike flock in their most magical garb to shop, eat, and fraternize with the charming life-sized witches that are hidden around town. (You can mark them off with a scavenger hunt as you go by!)
The course for the half marathon is flat and fast, carrying runners on an out-and-back riverside route along Jordan River Parkway. Participants are invited to explore the WitchFest attractions after they arrive back at the finish.
Come dressed in your finest witch apparel—or if you don’t yet own anything spooky, throw on the witch’s hat you’ll get as part of your race registration packet. After the run, indulge your sweet tooth with a race buffet featuring either Fatboy’s ice cream (if the weather is warm) or hot chocolate (if the day is cooler.)
