York Marathon & Half Marathon

Join us on Sunday, May 5, 2024, for the York Marathon and Half Marathon, a chip-timed event hosted by the Arthur J. Glatfelter Branch YMCA. Whether you’re aiming for a Boston Qualifying time or running your first long-distance race, this event promises a fast-paced and thrilling experience. The race kicks off at the Arthur J. Glatfelter Branch YMCA (90 N. Newberry St, York, PA 17401) and concludes at Lafayette Plaza in the heart of the City of York. The flat course begins on city streets, transitioning seamlessly to the York County Heritage Rail Trail, offering a compacted crushed stone surface ideal for running. Registration closes on April 29, 2024, and the race features both group and rolling start options. The Marathon starts at 6:00 am, with the Half Marathon following at 7:00 am. The race course closes at 1:30 pm, and an ATV is available for transport if needed. The course is USATF certified, ensuring a high-quality race experience. Age divisions, awards, water stations, and safety measures are meticulously organized. Restrooms, pacers, and a dedicated packet pickup schedule are in place to enhance the overall experience. Please note specific guidelines regarding jogging strollers and dogs due to space limitations and city policies. For those seeking the convenience of packet pickup, it is available at 90 N Newberry Street, York, PA 17401, on Friday, May 3 (12:00 pm – 7:00 pm), Saturday, May 4 (11:30 am – 7:00 pm), and Sunday, May 5 (5:00 am – 7:30 am). Race day parking is free at the Susquehanna Commerce Center (221 W. Philadelphia St, York, PA), conveniently located between the start and finish line.
