Overview

The Yosemite Half Marathon, located in Bass Lake, California just outside of Yosemite National Park, is a destination race that takes place in the beginning of May.

Scenic Views, Destination Race, Large Crowds. The Yosemite Half Marathon is known for being a fast, flat, and extremely scenic course that takes runners through the awe-inspiring, largely jaw-dropping landscape of the Sierra National Forest.

Located just outside Yosemite National Park, runners will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to run with Yosemite as their backdrop. With Spring in full sprung, it’s truly a vacation race!

Course Description

The Yosemite Half Marathon is a point-to-point course that takes runners along dirt and paved roads throughout the SIerra National Forest. Starting on Fire Road, runners will proceed forth for five (5) miles along rolling terrain,
Onward, runners will reach a long downward descent, crossing Malum Ridge Road before reaching Bass Lake at which point they’ll run around the lake. This will take runners to mile 10, at which point they’ll be on the home stretch, finishing at Recreation Point Campground.
With over 3000 participants, the Yosemite Half Marathon remains a cupless, environmentally-friendly event, encouraging runners to come prepared with their own reusable hydration modalities. There will be stocked aid stations throughout.
All participants will receive exclusive Yosemite Half Marathon merchandise, along with a finisher’s medal to commemorate the day.
