Onto the second of the course, runners turn left back onto Grizzly Peak Trail, then left onto Gillespie Youth Camp Road. What follows is a series of left and right turns throughout the park’s trails and paths, hopping on and off various trails including Arroyo Trail, Vollmer Peak Trail, and South Park Drive.
To finish, runners reverse onto Grizzly Peak Trail, straight along Selby Trail, and ending back on Lake Anza Path.
With a capacity of only 330 runners and no apparent time limit for the half-marathon race, this small but mighty event is ideal for all walks of life, encouraging all community members to come run or walk with their dogs, strollers, or any other appropriate addition.
With several aid stations throughout comprising fruit, snacks, water, electrolytes, and gels, participants don’t need to worry too much about bringing their own fuelling materials.
