In March 2024, the picturesque hills of Brenham come alive with the 46th Annual Blue Bell Fun Run, hosted by Run For the Youth of Washington County. A celebration for all ages, this event offers a variety of individual races, including the Kids’ 1-Mile Run, 5K walk or run, 10K, and a challenging half marathon. Runners weave through the scenic landscapes adorned with bluebonnets and wildflowers, creating a breathtaking backdrop for the journey.
Every participant is treated to a sweet reward – unlimited Blue Bell ice cream at the race or, for virtual runners registering by March 1st, a free pint of Blue Bell. Each runner receives a participant t-shirt and medal, with half marathon participants earning an additional 13.1 t-shirt and medal.
Established in 1978, the Blue Bell Fun Run initially supported the Brenham High School Athletic program and now extends its impact by promoting physical health and good character among the youth of Washington County.
