Overview

Experience the vibrant cityscape and serene river views at the 10th annual Skyline Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, set along the scenic Trinity River in Dallas, Texas. Celebrating its milestone anniversary, this event invites participants to traverse the newest trail in downtown Dallas, treating them to miles of expansive paths and captivating vistas of the city and its waterfront.

Commencing near the picturesque west side of the Continental Bridge, the half marathon route guides runners beneath the iconic Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, leading them on a captivating journey south along the Trinity River. After a brief road segment, participants embark on a loop, crossing the river and venturing north along the Trinity Skyline Trail.

As the course unfolds, runners are treated to breathtaking river panoramas and cityscapes, with the trail tracing the tranquil waters and offering glimpses of urban charm. The latter stretch of the route presents more stunning river views, with a brief road segment adding variety to the experience before reuniting with the Skyline Trail.

The homestretch sees participants retracing their steps along the river’s west side, propelled toward the finish line by the energy of the city and the spirit of camaraderie. Whether tackling the half marathon, 10K, or 5K, each mile promises a blend of natural beauty and urban allure, making the Skyline race an unforgettable experience for all.

Course Description

The course then continues north along the Trinity Skyline Trail until turning around a little past mile 3, then retracing the route of the first three miles and continuing north along the west side of the Skyline Trail. The second half of the course follows the Skyline Trail north, providing more river views. While most of the half marathon is run on the Skyline Trail, the primary road portion of the course is here during miles 9 and 10 before turning around and returning to the trail. From here, runners retrace their paths along the west side of the river toward the finish line.
