The courses, designed for variety and challenge, may not be the exact advertised distances due to the nature of trail running and preservation of the park’s natural beauty. This year, the routes will be run in reverse (counter-clockwise), offering a fresh perspective and a new challenge for returning runners. All races feature a mix of terrain, with a significant portion shaded by trees, enhancing the scenic beauty and runner experience.
The event is family-friendly, featuring a free 1K Bambi Run for kids, complete with a bib and finisher medal, ensuring fun for all ages. To commemorate the race, participants will receive bucking great finisher medals and have the option to purchase gender-specific, dry-wick shirts guaranteed for those who register by November 6th.
Parking requires a pre-purchased county park pass, emphasizing the event’s commitment to organization and environmental conservation. The race will also introduce a cupless policy for aid stations, reducing waste and encouraging sustainability. Runners are encouraged to bring reusable cups for hydration, supported by a hot chocolate bar courtesy of Silver Circle.
With packet pickup available on race day morning, the schedule is set for a seamless start, allowing runners and their cheering families to enjoy a well-organized event. Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in 5-year age groups, ensuring recognition for outstanding performances.
