Taking place on Halloween weekend, the Marine County Half Marathon is part of an entire endurance festival consisting of a triathlon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k that’s hosted along picturesque McNears Beach.
Large Crowds, Scenic Views. The Marine County Half Marathon course hosted at McNears Beach offers runners magnificent waterfront views of the Bay, the famous Golden Gate Bridge, China Camp State Park, and much much more.
Located about 20 miles from San Francisco, San Rafael, part of Marine County, is a picturesque region of California, making it a great destination for a race weekend and adventure.
Off Point San Padro Drive on 201 Cantera Drive, the Marine County Half Marathon kicks off at 9:00 a.m. sharp, with a three (3) hour course time limit finishing at McNears Beach Park.
To begin, runners head out Cantera Way before turning left onto San Padro Drive, holding course for the next three (3) miles or so. Onward, runners will then turn around, and head back along Cantera Way in the opposite direction where they’ll be met with a series of rolling hills.
Onto Back Ranch Meadows followed by Shoreline Trails, runners will then enjoy the beauty that is one of the world’s most scenic regions. After exiting the trail, runners ultimately find themselves back on Cantera Way to finish at McNears Beach.
For a premium all-inclusive event, all registrants will receive a custom-designed t-shirt and bib, an emphatic medal, free personalized race day photos, and an experience they won’t soon forget.
A true VIP experience, runners will also be encouraged to stick around for the entire weekend to ingest all that the festival has to give, from live music and DJs to amazing nutrition and other exciting surprises.
