Overview
The Castle Rock Trail Festival 50k, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k is a popular racing event among the trail running community, known for its natural Colorado beauty.
Challenging Course. While the technicalities of the course aren’t so challenging, the altitude alone (6608 feet) makes for a challenging race day, especially for those traveling in from lower altitude locations.
Taking place along Castle Rock’s vast ridgeline trail system in Philip S. Miller Park, runners can expect to enjoy beautiful natural landscapes and trails throughout. With the Fall abloom, the colors should be just as spectacular.
Oh, and keep your eyes out for the wildlife; from rabbits and fox to deer and prairie dogs, don’t be surprised if they pop out to say hello!
Course Description
All participants receive a custom race shirt, a finisher’s medal (for those who finish, of course), a professional chip time, free professional race day photos, and most importantly, post-race refreshments to celebrate. Throughout the course itself, several aid stations (6 to be exact) will be posted, comprising all the fueling materials you’ll need to finish in-style.
