Presented by Colorado Brewing Running Series, the New Belgium Brewing Half Marathon and 5k is a community event that encourages all to have fun, be active, and give back, with all proceeds being donated to local non-profits.
Scenic Views, Trail Runners. With seasonal high temperatures of 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit, runners can expect ideal running conditions paired with scenic views throughout Poudre Trail.
Fort Collins, just a short drive from Denver, is a beautiful municipality of Colorado, full of breathtaking outdoor landscapes with much to do for locals and tourists visiting alike.Â
Starting and ending at New Belgium Brewery on 500 Linden Street at 7:30 a.m., this out-and-back course sets runners off along the Poudre Trail near Lemay Ave & Magnolia St, where at mile 3 runners will turn onto the path along Timberline Road.
It’s then through Spring Creek Trail and back onto Poudre Trail before reaching the halfway turnaround point near the CSU Environmental Learning Center. From there, it’s a retrace of steps all the way back to the finish line at New Belgium Brewing Co.
With six aid stations total, each stocked with water, GU Gels, Tailwind, and other fueling options, this event is well-equipped, however, it’s recommended that runners come prepared with their own hydration packs just in case.
For those above the legal age limit, be sure to arrive with your ID, because the post-run after-party will be waiting for you with beer, food, and good times.
Race Weather & Climate
Nestled in northern Colorado, Fort Collins is about 65 miles north of Denver, celebrated for its blend of outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and educational institutions.
