Join for the seventh annual Stories Ultra 6H, Half Marathon, and 10k located within Cheyenne Mountain State Park during the winter month of February. Trail Runners, Challenging Course, Scenic Views. Renowned for its breathtaking landscapes of Cheyenne Mountain and its sweeping views of the Colorado Front Range, this unique winter half marathon event features an amazing community atmosphere that you surely won’t forget. With February being among the snowiest months of the year in Colorado Springs, runners can expect pristine snow-white conditions, and in the case of a messier week, muddy slushy trails throughout.

Enjoying two distinct loops throughout Cheyenne Mountain State Park, the first loop kicks runners off in a counterclockwise direction through intertwining trails and high elevations. Returning to the start line, runners will then take the second loop which is that much more challenging in navigation. With only one aid station located at the start/finish line, runners are encouraged to come prepared to be self-sustaining, and at the very least, take full advantage of the stock-up after each loop. What’s included? First, all participants will receive a gender-specific race shirt. For those lucky enough to complete the race, you’ll also receive a commemorative finisher’s medal. With a 250-participant cap, aspiring runners will want to register as soon as possible before the event sells out!
