The Crooked Creek Ultra takes place in the heart of Bourbon Country at the Camp Crooked Creek Scout Reservation in Kentucky. Runners can choose from the 100 miles (with a 32-hour cutoff), the 50 miles (with a 16-hour cutoff), marathon, and half marathon distances. There is also a 5K Trail Challenge for a peek into the full races.
The course is a 12.7-mile loop, navigating through the diverse terrain of the 1,000-acre camp and has over 2,000 feet of elevation gain per loop. Sights include John Barr Lake at the start/finish line, hardwood forest, and plenty of wildlife.
