Overview

The Deep Creek Trail Half Marathon is a challenging, high-elevation, high-altitude half marathon course offering spectacular views and incredible landscapes.

Trail Runners, Scenic Views. Hosted at the end of September, this exciting high-altitude mountain trail event offers incredible fall scenery and cool but refreshing fall temperatures throughout the half-marathon course.

Located in the stunning mountain town of Telluride, particularly in the San Juan Mountains, this world-class destination is great for the adventurous kind, known largely for its mountainous skiing, vibrant art scene, and abundant outdoor adventures.

Course Description

Starting at the beginning of Last Dollar Road near the Telluride Airport, runners will begin their journey along Last Dollar Road toward the Deep Creek Corral. From there, runners enter the aspen-filled forest along Deep Creek Trail. It’s then a journey toward the Town of Telluride along a single-track trail until completing the 13-mile course and reaching the finish line back in the town of Telluride inside the Oak Street Park. All aid stations will be equipped with an abundance of fruit, snacks, water, Gatorade, Coca-cola, ginger ale, and other diverse food and beverage options. With a five-hour time limit, this course is suitable for most fitness levels, runners and walkers alike.
