The Ely Wilderness Marathon takes runners through the wilderness and alongside lakes on dirt roads. The marathon and half marathon are designed to showcase views of the region, including Shagawa Lake, Miner’s Lake, the town of Winton, and the historic city of Ely.
The marathon’s pace requirement is 27 minutes per mile. Pacers will be available for a variety of goal times, ranging from 1:40 to 3:00 hours.
