The 10th Gandy Dancer Marathon will be taking place on October 12, 2024. A Boston Qualifying event, it is a flat course along the Gandy Dancer State Trail. The marathon starts near the Luck Fire Department, passes through Milltown and Frederic, and ends back in Luck. There is an 8-hour time limit.
Also available are a half marathon, four-person marathon relay, and 5K race, all of which have the same start and finish line. Duluth Timing & Events will be providing official chip timing for accurate results. All the courses have aid stations offering water, Gatorade, and food.
The event is a fundraiser for the Luck Fire Department. Although no refunds are available, those who register and are unable to run on the day are encouraged to collect their event T-shirt and join the festivities.
The races are pet and stroller free for safety reasons. Runners are allowed to use headphones but are discouraged to ensure they remain alert, as the course is not closed. The fire department will be controlling traffic.
