Grateful Dad Half Marathon 10k & 5k

Beginning at the Kleiver Memorial Armory in Portland, the half marathon first takes runners south toward the Riverside Golf & Country Club and the Broadmoor Golf Course before turning around and heading north toward the Columbia River, where much of the half marathon is run. The course provides great views of the river as well as the Cascade Mountains in the distance.

And with such close vicinity to the PDX Airport, watching a plane take off or land during the half marathon is likely, so make sure to look up every now and then while running the course if you want to watch.

The half marathon finishes at the Armory, where a family breakfast, beer garden, and live entertainment make up the post-race party.

The event organizers describe the course as fast and flat with a few inclines on the course but no major hills, making the event a great course for setting a personal record.
