Overview

Experience the unparalleled beauty of Grayson Highlands State Park this May with a trail running adventure that has garnered acclaim as a “MUST DO” and “BUCKET LIST” run among trail enthusiasts. Offering a diverse array of distances, each route promises an unforgettable journey through the park’s breathtaking landscapes. Renowned for its blend of excitement, safety, and challenge, this event caters to trail runners of all levels. Due to high demand, we advise early registration, as spots tend to fill up rapidly and availability is limited.- The 50 Mile course boasts 9,500 ft of elevation gain and features a 17.5-hour cutoff time.
– With 5,000 ft of elevation gain, the 50k course provides a formidable challenge within an 11-hour cutoff.
– Participants in the Half Marathon will encounter 3,000 ft of elevation gain and have a 6-hour cutoff to complete the course.
– The 8-mile route presents runners with 1,400 ft of elevation gain and a 4-hour cutoff for completion.

As with all mountain, ultra, and trail races organized by Run Bum, it’s worth noting that the distances are approximate (“ish”). Variations in GPS readings and mapping software may result in slight discrepancies between the stated distance and the actual route covered during the race. However, embracing the unpredictability is part of the allure of trail running. The primary objective of the event is to revel in the awe-inspiring scenic beauty of Grayson Highlands State Park, rather than achieving an exact distance. Join us for an unforgettable adventure amidst nature’s splendor!
