Keuka Outlet Trail Half Marathon and 10k

THE RUN The Keuka Outlet Trail Half Marathon & 10K follow the Minnesetah River, which flows from Keuka Lake to Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. The wooded trail is well maintained by the Friends of the Outlet, Inc and features a combination of pavement, gravel and grass. The out-and-back courses of both the Half Marathon and the 10K pass waterfalls and abandoned mill sites leftover from the outlet’s industrial past. Runners start on a slight downgrade, and return with a slight uphill grade. Both courses begin in Penn Yan and head East toward Dresden, NY before turning around and finishing back in Penn Yan. HISTORY & THE REGION “The rich history of the Finger Lakes is incomplete without the trail and what it has meant to the region.” The Friends of the Outlet maintain the trail and have preserved the history of the trail, dating back to 1790 when the first flour mill was built by the Society of Universal Friends. Remnants from the original mill can still be seen today!
