The race will commence at the E.B. Shurts Building within the Fox River Sanctuary, located at 810 W College Ave. To manage crowding, the 5K & 10K events will start at 9:05 am. Participants are encouraged to review the new course maps provided to familiarize themselves with the adjusted routes.
Parking will be limited at the starting area, with ample street parking available nearby. The course, designed for speed, features several turnaround points for each distance, with aid stations stocked with water, sports drinks, and energy gels to support runners throughout their race.
Every registered participant by November 17 will receive a gender-specific, dry-wick t-shirt, with a chance to grab any leftovers post-race. Adding to the winter charm, the celebrated hot chocolate bar returns, inviting runners to warm up post-race with a customizable, delicious cup of hot cocoa.
Awards await runners online post-race, including unique “woodles” for all finishers and custom awards for top performers in age groups, courtesy of Ridgeway Woodworks. The Chilly Willy Winter Run Series culminates with the Last Call event, determining age group awards based on participants’ ages on the last event date. Additionally, the Average Joe & Jane Awards offer a special recognition to the mid-pack finishers of the 5K runs.
The event is meticulously timed by Silver Circle Sports Events, LLC, ensuring accurate chip-timed results from start to finish line, marking a memorable close to the running season amidst the scenic backdrop of Waukesha’s winter landscape.
