Welcome to the 5th annual Long View Marathon and Half Marathon, a Boston Qualifier that takes runners from Fort Collins, Colorado, to Loveland, Colorado. Scenic Views. This one-of-a-kind running event in celebration of Colorado’s unique running scene offers participants a beautiful city-to-city course through the breathtaking scenery of Fort Collins. With an average of 300 sunny days annually, runners can also expect to enjoy the spectacular views under awesome October running conditions.

Starting at 8:30 a.m., this half-marathon course begins at Fossil Creek Park and sets runners off toward Front Range Trail during the first 2 miles. Reaching Vantage View at mile 3.4, runners persist through Boyd Lake State Park, running alongside Horseshoe Lake, and exiting onto Loveland Recreation Trail. Finally, it passes Wooden Mountain at mile 10.2 before reaching the finish line in Fairgrounds Park. With a five (5) hour cut-off time and four aid stations throughout for the half-marathon event, this course is suitable for walkers and runners alike. As an exciting community event, the entire course is open for the public to spectate, so be sure to invite family and friends to enjoy! All finishers will be awarded with a finisher’s medal, with age group top finishers also earning special recognition.
