Overview

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 1, 2025, when historic Madison comes alive for the fourth annual Madison Station Half Marathon. This RRCA‑sanctioned Mississippi State Championship event kicks off under the iconic arch in downtown Madison at 7:00 AM CDT, with the 10K, 5K run, and 5K walk following in staggered waves.

The half marathon presents a fast, rolling course weaving through scenic historic neighborhoods and a shaded segment along the Natchez Trace Parkway multi-use trail. The route offers a balanced mix of pavement and gentle hills—including the notable Madison Parkway Bridge around mile 2—and finishes in front of the charming red caboose in downtown. Participants enjoy well-placed aid stations, chip timing, & a 4-hour cutoff for the distance.

What truly distinguishes Madison Station is its strong community vibe—local charities including the Webster Animal Shelter and Extra Table benefit from race proceeds. The festive post-race atmosphere features live music from The Chill, food by the Knights of Columbus, and beverages from Fertile Ground Brewery. Runners end the day with a medal, race shirt, and a true hometown celebration.

A RaceRaves review calls it a “best-kept secret in Mississippi,” praising the shaded Natchez Trace section and enjoyable after-party featuring jambalaya, hot dogs, and a live band.
