Margarita Half and 5k

The rural course runs on the outskirts of Portsmouth through the historic towns of Greenland and Newington. The course starts at the Lowe’s parking lot and quickly heads towards Newington with views of the Great Bay Estuary and pastoral farm fields. The half marathon route is pending USATF Certification. Registration for the Margarita Half Marathon & 5K comes with a long sleeve shirt and a commemorative finisher’s medal. The 5K starts at 8:15am at the same location as the half marathon, the Lowe’s parking lot. Runners follow the same course as the half marathon for the first mile before heading back towards the finish line party at Mercedes-Benz of Portsmouth. After the race is a party, and runners receive a breakfast burrito and one free margarita or complimentary beer (21+).
