Sunday, November 8, 2020 • Calistoga, CA • Course Map

Note: The 2020 race has been cancelled.

Limited to 1,000 entrants, the Napa Valley Harvest Half Marathon is must-do for oenophiles. Set for early November, the scenery of Napa Valley provides a gorgeous backdrop for nearly the entire 13.1 miles, surrounded by vineyards and wineries and the skyline features mountain ranges with views of Mount St. Helena and the Palisades.

The out-and-back course takes place mostly along the Silverado Trail, a paved roadway which will be closed to traffic for the event. Runners begin and finish at the Calistoga High School track, in the heart of Calistoga on the north end of the Napa Valley.

After exiting the track, runners will head off campus and make a left onto Stevenson Street and then a quick left onto Grant Street. Upon the intersection of Lake Street, runners will make a right turn.

The course then intersects with the Silverado Trail and runners will make a right to take the trail out to the halfway point. Upon exiting the town of Calistoga, runners will immediately be able to spot vineyards and wineries along the course.

They will run by Phifer Pavitt Wine and Cuvaison Estate Wines just outside of town. As they continue along the course, they will run past Davis Estates and Rancho de las Flores Cellars.

Once runners reach Fork Crystal Springs Road, the course will make a u-turn. Runners will be able to spot Dancing Hare Vineyard at the turnaround point. Racers will know what to expect as they make their way back towards the finish.

They will cross over the same path that they took to the halfway point, but in reverse. The rolling hills that seemed fairly easy on the way out might feel a little tougher on the way back. Though the course never varies more than 100’ in elevation, there are plenty of ups and downs throughout the entirety.

As runners make their way back to Calistoga, they will take the same route back towards the high school and finish on the track. All finishers will receive a medal upon crossing the finish line. The top three overall male and female winners will receive personalized ribbons as well as the top three in each age group.

Additionally, plaques will be given out to the top three overall male and female winners and the first place finisher in each age group. Runners will have 3 1/2 hours to complete the course.
