Experience the enchantment of night trail running at the Winter Night Owl, set amidst the stunning Caesar Creek State Park on January 6, 2024. Celebrating its 5th year, the event promises surprises for those completing five years, along with a fresh medal design. Runners can choose from the full marathon, half marathon, or 10K, navigating the captivating single-track trail around Caesar Creek Lake. A unique twist awaits participants, as it’s a cupless race—no cups at aid stations. Carry a collapsible cup for drinks. Start times vary for each distance, allowing runners to spread out and witness the picturesque sunset over the lake.
Mandatory gear includes a headlamp or waist light, extra batteries, water bottle or bladder, collapsible cup, and a fully charged cell phone. Finishers earn glow-in-the-dark owl medals, with all registered runners receiving high-quality swag. Aid stations, strategically positioned along the course, provide water, Tailwind, and a variety of nourishing options.
