Starting and finishing at the Chabot Space & Science Center Annex Lot, the half marathon course is a looping course comprising several twists and turns along various trails.
While it’d be over-indulgent to express every trail on the course, runners begin by heading straight on West Ridge Trail. From there, it’s short stints along Graham, Dunn, and Golden Spike Trail. Via Monteiro Trail, runners will ultimately find themselves back on West Ridge Trail which will then lead them to Bridal Trail at which point runners turn around.
Other notable trails that will be hit include but are certainly not limited to Stream Trail, Canyon Trail, Tres Sendas Trail before reaching the finish line.
With a total capacity across all racing events of just 330 participants, the half marathon event alone is on the smaller side. During the race, runners can expect several fully-loaded aid stations to be present throughout, however, all runners are encouraged to also bring their own 20oz bottle.
Finally, though the after party might be smaller, it doesn’t mean it’s not mighty! Post-race, all participants are invited to stick around for complimentary treats, delicious food, and beverages.
