Perhaps known best for its resort village Destination Kohler, as well as its famed golf courses like Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run, this small village of just over 2,000 people in southern Wisconsin plays host to a late-summer half marathon that runs in the evening, when temperatures will be warm (but not too warm), along a recreational trail that stretches more than 20 miles across the county.

Course Description
Runners will follow a point-to-point route for this race, which starts just west of Kohler in nearby Plymouth, at the Quit Qui Oc athletic complex just off Riverview Road. From there, you’ll run onto the Old Plank Road Trail right along the edges of the complex, and then stay on the trail for the next 11 miles.
The trail will take you along a route that will feel flat throughout, but follows a very gradual descent from the start to the finish line, at the Sports Core in Kohler.
Organizers say that runners should bring a flashlight with them along the trail, as course support will end after the race’s 3-hour time limit — feel free to wear a headlamp, or bring a flashlight small enough to carry easily in your hand.
