The Summer Splash Prairie Dog Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k is part of the larger Prairie Dog Race Series and takes place along the East Plum Creek Trail in Castle Rock, Colorado. Trail Runners. Course Description
Beginning on 5254 N Meadows Drive at Castle View High School, this out-and-back half marathon race takes place entirely along the paved paths of East Plum Creek Trail, turning around at the halfway point to retrace their steps back to the finish line. With a time limit of 4 hours, the Prairie Dog Half Marathon is suitable for both runners and walkers alike. With eight water stations throughout, you should be able to stay hydrated enough to finish in record time. For those registered, you’ll receive a custom swag bag of surprises along with an event-themed race shirt, a finisher’s pint glass, FREE professional race photos, and a finisher’s medal for those who complete it under the time limit.
