Saturday, August 9, 2025, the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley hosts the annual Pure Water Days Festival, highlighted by the Pure Water Days Races—a family-friendly, multi-distance event supporting community celebration and active fun.
🏃 Race Experience & Atmosphere
Starting at the Chippewa Falls YMCA (611 Jefferson Ave), the race series begins at 8:00 AM CDT with the Half Marathon Bill Roegge Memorial and Two‑Mile Fit Walk, followed by a One‑Mile Fun Run at 7:30 AM and a 200‑Meter Dash for youth under 8 after the 4‑mile start. A new two-person half marathon relay debuts this year, splitting the race at ~7.7 miles at McDonell High School.
Half marathon runners follow a scenic route through rural countryside and Irvine Park, passing through multiple water stops and receiving finisher medals. Finishing early gives families time to enjoy festival events, live music, and community festivity. Registration before July 25 guarantees a race shirt.
