Course:
Out-and-back route with a some rolling hills and gentle elevation gain then heads back down towards the finish. Perfect opportunity for a negative split!
Course Details:
We’ve worked hard at designing a great course. The first four and last four miles are within the scenic village of Sackets Harbor and along Lake Ontario. The half and full share the first 6.55 miles of the course.
Well Marked:
There will be at least three course directional arrows at every turn along the route, guiding you through the scenic course. We’ll also have a course marshal to direct you at as many turns as possible.
Course Info
Both the Marathon and Half Marathon start and finish at the Madison Barracks Polo Fields on Pike Rd next to Lake Ontario (Black River Bay). Both courses are out-and-back routes with the Half runners turning around at mile 6.55. There’s only one difference between the out route and the return route: the course goes down Main St during the first mile but then comes back on Washington St during mile 25 (Full) and 12 (Half). There are some rolling hills and gentle elevation gain then you head back down towards the finish.
