With beautiful waterfront views and a fast course great for setting personal records, the Saint Ignace Rock & Run Half Marathon is a great race to add to your spring race season. 2019 marks the 5th annual Saint Ignace Rock & Run Half Marathon & 5K, which takes place in northern Michigan, along the coast of the Upper Peninsula.
The Saint Ignace Rock & Run Half Marathon begins at 8:00 AM, while the 5K begins at 9:00 AM. Both races start and finish at the Starline Railroad Dock, downtown St. Ignace. The half marathon course takes runners through and around various areas of Saint Ignace, with breath taking views of Lake Michigan and Mackinac Island. The course is a flat and fast course, with a couple hills thrown in for kicks. Music will be provided by local musicians at the starting area to get your energy pumping. Runners will also hear music at various points throughout the race to keep them moving and to help them cross that finish line.
Each pre-registered participant will be guaranteed a race t-shirt and swag bag, limited quantities on race day. All half marathon athletes will take home a finishers medal. There will be awards in the half marathon, 5k runners and 5k walkers for the top three in each age category.

Race Weather & Climate
Located in the southern portion of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Saint Ignace experiences cool weather in May with just over 2 inches of precipitation for the month. Record temperatures range as low as 15° (1981) and as high as 84° (1987).
On race day (May 18), the average low is 45ºF and the average high is 62ºF.
