Welcome to the Sunburn Half Marathon and 10k presented by Urgent Care of Sandfly! Trail Runners. Known for its majestic tree lines and, of course, its blistering hot temperatures, the Sunburn Half Marathon in Savannah, GA, takes place in the beautiful pathways of the historic Wormsloe Park. Savannah, GA, is a beautiful coastal city separated by South Carolina only by the Savanna River. Known for its historic architecture and its cobblestoned squares, it’s boasts quite the character that will entertain visitors lucky to participate in the race.

To beat the heat, the half marathon race will kick off at 7:00 in the morning along Parkersburg Road nearby the Methodist and Catholic Churches. Onward on Central Avenue, runners persist before turning onto Paxton Drive. It’s then a loop along the backtrails of the Isle of Hope running alongside Shipyard Creek before turning around, retracing their steps, and finishing the race where it initially began. All participants will receive a finisher’s medal for commemoration and achievement along with a complimentary race shirt, free raceday photos, a pair of sunglasses, and other exciting post-race awards. The course will have six (6) stocked fueling stations throughout the half marathon course, with a total time cap for the race being 3 hours due to weather and other occurring events. Post-race, all participants are encouraged to stick around and indulge in complimentary finish line food provided by the one and only Chick-Fil-A!
