The unique Gulf Coast Marathon awaits on Saturday, March 23, in Macon, GA, promising a day of camaraderie, picturesque paths, and a delightful post-race feast. The course is a wide asphalt path with varying shades, ensuring a comfortable and scenic run. According to Garmin estimates, each lap includes an elevation gain of 43′, adding a touch of challenge. This marathon has a welcoming approach with no set time limit, so no runner is left behind. Walkers are encouraged to participate, and strollers are permitted but they should start at the back and yield to runners. Pets are kept at bay to prioritize the safety and comfort of all participants.

One standout feature of this marathon is its food and aid station. With a unique multi-loop course setup, participants can enjoy a variety of refreshments, ranging from fruit and sandwiches to hot coffee—much better than the usual race fare. Packet pickup is available on Thursday, March 21, from 9 AM to 1 PM at Citizen’s Lodge Park (4574 Lodge Drive in Marianna, FL) the location for Day 4 of the event. Packet pickup and registration is available at the starting line on race days, starting 90 minutes before the regular start time
