Ring in 2026 with the annual Too Cold to Hold race series—Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Norbuck Park, Dallas. Organizers at Run Project are proud to host the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Virtual Run, celebrating their 31st year of fast-and-flat, early-season running along the scenic shores of White Rock Lake.
A Legacy of Cold, Fast, Flat Miles
This signature Run Project event is known for its frosty January weather, small-to-moderate community fields (between 1,000–5,000 runners), certified courses, and a festive feel that belies the early start. All races launch at 8:00 AM CST and courses favor PR-friendly terrain—with pace groups, ample hydration, and sweeping lakefront views.
Celebration in the Chill
The post-race Champagne rally includes a music-driven after-party by DJ Dame, complimentary warm drinks, free non-alcoholic beer, and hot snacks—perfect for chasing away the chill. All finishers earn a long-sleeve tech shirt, custom medal, personalized bib, and access to photo booths and sponsor giveaways.
Run Project’s strong community ethos is reflected in its pace team support and inclusive excitement: as one runner summed it up, “The size of the field was perfect, the course beautiful, and the pace teams amazing. Most enjoyable half I’ve ever done!”
